Tom McLeans Highland Outdoor Centre
Castaway with your group and indulge in the wide open spaces, fresh mountain air and spectacular, rugged, wilderness setting. You can bring your self catering group to Ardintigh Highland Outdoor Centre for an amazing Low Cost. We offer bunkhouse accommodation for up to 24 people sleeping in 5 wooden huts, dotted around our 10 acre woodland and grassy site and Jocks Lodge is the main building and focal point of the Centre. The Centre is an ideal base for outdoor pursuits, adventure training, summer camp, walking holidays or to simply get away from the stresses and strains of everyday life. Retreat and Recharge.

The Knoydart Foundation
The Knoydart Foundation was established in 1997 to work on behalf of the community in taking ownership of the Knoydart Estate. The community buyout finally came to fruition in March 1999. The Foundation aims to manage the Knoydart Estate as an area of employment and settlement on the Knoydart Peninsula without detriment to its natural beauty and character and to seek and encourage the preservation of its landscape, wildlife, natural resources, culture and rural heritage.

Cornerstone Seafood Restaurant, Mallaig
Fine seafood restaurant in Mallaig with great views over the harbour. The restaurant uses the freshest of local produce, with a daily specials board and also has fabulous meat options. All deserts are homemade.

Jacobite Steam Train
Information about the Jacobite Steam Train (as featured in Harry Potter as the 'Hogwarts Express'). The journey starts near the highest mountain in Britain (Ben Nevis), passes through Glenfinnan, visits Britain's most westerly mainland railway station (Arisaig), passes close by the deepest freshwater loch in Britain (Loch Morar) and arrives in Mallaig. The train leaves Fort William at 10:20am and returns to Fort William at 4:00pm with an hour and a half in Mallaig. It is a great way to spend the day!

Mallaig Swimming Pool
In a spectacular location overlooking the Sound of Sleat, the Small Isles and the Isle of Skye, the pool is open seven days a week, offering a wide range of facilities, whether you want to keep fit or just relax and enjoy yourself.

Traigh Golf Course
"Probably the most beautifully sited nine-hole golf course in the world..." (The Scotsman newspaper). The word Traigh (pronounced 'try') means 'beach' in Gaelic, and a series of sandy beaches run alongside the course, with stunning views to the Hebridean islands of Eigg and Rum, and the Cuillins of Skye. Traigh is a subtle golf course that rewards accurate shotmaking. Good players are made to work for their scores, and yet high handicappers are given every chance. In short, Traigh offers something for everyone.

The Old Forge, Knoydart
Listed as one of only 3 of "Scotland's bloody good pubs by Peter Irvine "The Best Of Scotland 2007" and with no roads in or out, an 18 mile hike over munros or a 7 mile sea crossing, the pub is the remotest, on mainland Britain (aka Guinness book of records). The Old Forge in the village of Inverie, Knoydart, started out as a smiddy's forge. Later, seeing better use as a workers social club where it grew up and became a pub. The Old Forge.

Andy Race Fish Merchants

Glenfinnan
The famous monument is the focal point of Glenfinnan, marking the point where the standard was raised to start the doomed 1745 Jacobite rebellion. Walking, cycling and loch cruises can also be enjoyed from the village.

Land, Sea and Islands Centre, Arisaig
The Land, Sea and Islands Visitor Centre opened in July 1999 on the site of a derelict smiddy in a stunning situation in the heart of Arisaig village. A community project, it houses an exhibition that celebrates the social and natural history of the area old and new with photographic displays and artifacts.

Loch Shiel Cruises
Eagle-Watch Wildlife Cruises aboard the classic vessel M.V. Sileas. Accessible only by boat, the eighteen-mile length of Loch Shiel, once a sea-loch but reshaped by the retreating glaciers of the last Ice Age, contains a wide variety of wildlife amidst stunning mountain scenery where regular sightings of Golden Eagle are common.

The Isle of Rum
Rum is one of Scotland's finest National Nature Reserves. The island is a haven for a variety of birds and animals including sea eagles, deer, goats, otters, seals and many others.. Scottish National Heritage offer guided day walks in the summer, looking at the nature and wildlife of the island. Visitors are also welcome to follow the 2 simple nature trails laid out around the village of Kinloch.

Arisaig Marine

Cal Mac

Art na Mara
Website of Louise Manson, a London based artist from the Highlands of Scotland, whose moody acrylic paintings are inspired by her North West Coast background. Louise will also take on commissions.
